Dressmakers

Jill Burt made both my wife and I the dresses that we only thought were possible in our imaginations. She’s incredibly talented and has a crazy pet cocky named Ethel to chat with too. Jill is based in Eltham and you can contact her via phone: +61 407 481 246

Linda Doable made a wedding gown for a beautiful pregnant bride I worked with, who looked absolutely phenomenal in gold sequins from head to toe! She also made all the bridesmaids gowns which were classy, cute and definitely something they could all wear again.

Jewellery

Megan Webb Jeweller – Megan specialises in ethically sourced materials and runs her own small business. Highly recommended – she resized my great-grandmother’s antique ring for my engagement ring and made our wedding rings which we absolutely love.

David Parker Jewellery - David makes beautiful pieces through discussion of ideas and requirements. A highly talented craftsman, you can trust David to create your wedding rings. I wear a silver bangle made for me by David at every wedding ceremony as a good luck charm, and it always makes the ceremony that bit more perfect.

Fun ideas for pre-wedding activities or celebrations

Julie Red Projects
Julie can host a group to sew something fun together at her studio in the Old Castlemaine Gaol. If you're looking for something a bit different to ye olde strip club and doodle straws in cocktails, Julie's workshops are highly recommended for a fun afternoon.

Yoga Harmony
Jacqui is a sensational yoga teacher based in Castlemaine who loves celebrating occasions, and would be happy to hear from you about a pre-wedding yoga group. She has worked with bridal parties and grooms parties to create a celebration with some calming focus thrown in ahead of the big day.

Rachel Valentine is Ricca-Donna
Would you like something a bit different to get ready for marriage? Rachel Valentine will appear as Ricca-Donna for a cracker of a life drawing class. Rica-Donna was left at the altar by her good for nothing fiancee, and is still on a mission to capture her "special day". Think art class meets bridezilla meets something way left of centre we can't quite put our finger on.
